SHREE VEERANARAYANA TEMPLE

The Temple is located in Kulshekara, Padavu village at a distance of around 5 to 6 km away from heart of Mangaluru city. Shree Kshetra is the presence of Vishnu Swarupi Shree Veeranarayana. Shree Kshethra is abode Shree Veeranarayana, a form of Lord Vishnu. The diety can be seen in a standing position, and can be seen holding a conch and a discus, mace and an inexhaustible pot, also called as Akshayapatrain its four hands.Presence of Lord Shree Veeranarayana is rare in South India and this Kshetra is one of them.
The temple is being managed by Kulal/Moolya community for the last more than 80 years. With several developments, it has emerged as a perfect field attracting a large number of devotees. With the help and cooperation of its community, abroad devotees and local villagers, this pious temple has been celebrating the KumbhaMahotsav, an annual fair, with great grandeur. Apart from the annual fair, Poojas like Naga Pratishtacharane, NagaraPanchami, Mass VaramahalakshmiVrittaPooja, ShravanaMasacharane, Shree Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Distribution of Rice bran on GaneshaChaturthi Day , AyudhaPooja, TulsiPooja and many special programs are celebrated in temple.
